Colleen Bays Author

Colleen Bays, M.A., M.S. grew up in southwestern Virginia, a proud big sister and a foster sister, learning to share her home and love with others from an early age.  She has earned two master’s degrees in psychology and a graduate certificate in university teaching. She taught college courses for eight years, primarily research writing and human development, and then enjoyed four years of sharing her love of reading and learning as a children’s librarian. She now shares the wonders of books and the library with her daughter as a stay-at-home mom. Her publications include a coauthored chapter on pediatric sleep in the medical reference book, Synopsis of Sleep Medicine, a coauthored peer-reviewed article in the Experimental & Clinical Psychopharmacology Journal, and a picture book, Lily and Her Godparents: A Story of Love and Adoption. She resides in the greater Myrtle Beach area of South Carolina with her hero, her firefighter husband, and their book-loving toddler.

Readers will learn, along with Lily, that our families can sometimes change, but that is okay. What matters is that they are filled with love!
